When Eva first contacted me a full 15 months before her wedding date, I knew I would love working with her. Eva is one of the most joyful people I’ve met. She has a passion for live, and boy, does she love her man!
Over the next year, I loved getting emails from her updating me on all the wedding plans. One week she was making chalkboards. The next week she was collecting vintage handkerchiefs for her guests’ tears of joy. The next week she was gathering tea cups and blue glass vases. The following, she was personalizing a set of converse sneakers for each of Trevor’s groomsmen with their names across the side. Did I mention she made personalized hangers for each of her bridesmaids to hang their dress with? I don’t know where in the world she found the energy/creativity/drive, but this girl worked her tail off to put together one of the most adorable DIY weddings I’ve seen.
The walls of the reception were lined with old photos of friends/family- strung with clothes pins. The tables were adorned with Frost Doughnuts, for a non-traditional and OH SO YUMMY wedding dessert. Hand painted signs on old wood directed guests to the food, beverage, and yes, even ‘the loo’. And amidst all the thoughtful and labor-intensive decor, love was so very present. Happy tears flowed throughout the day, and their smiles never stopped beaming.
Eva and Trevor- I am SO INCREDIBLY happy for you two. I cannot wait to see what great treasures life has in store for your sweet family. I’m so lucky to have had the chance to celebrate with you that day.

TEARS!!! Tears! I am so happy! Thank you so much Kristen! While the magazine is absolutely incredible, I really feel like your blog post captures the pure JOY that was our wedding day. The smiles, the hugs, the love, the tears, the fellowship, the overwhelming feeling of FAMILY…the list goes on and on. Each and every day I am reminded about some special moment from our wedding day, and your photos magically captured those moments. From the hug from Lucy after the ceremony (doesn’t it look like she puts her whole soul into a hug?!) to the strong bond we have with our friends. I am so thankful for you having captured those moments.
The craziest thing? I would go back and do it all over again. The 2 years of planning, crafting, pillaging thrift stores and garage sales… the tears, the laughs, the endless nights of staring at a spreadsheet trying to figure out how I was going to make our dream wedding pencil out. I’d do it all over again – because it truly was one of the most incredible days of my life up to this point.
Here’s to our next adventure… I’m sure it’ll be just as incredible! 🙂
Thank you Kristen. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: When we booked you for the wedding, we booked you for everything. We can’t wait to work with you again!!!
Lots of love – Eva & Trevor
