I cannot believe how busy this summer has been- and such a blast!  I am over-the-moon-excited about all the weddings and families I have been able to photograph over these past few months.  With a very full shooting schedule, comes restricted office hours, so THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your patience!  My inbox piles up and my blog has been very neglected (eek!), but I promise- I have LOTS to share, and it will all be coming soon!!  So thank you for bearing with me during these months, and thank you so much for your continued support!  ‘Til next time, I’ll leave you with this- from Kaleena and Matt’s Bellingham wedding.

The First Dance

I had to share a few frames from last weekend’s wedding in Eastern Washington.  The advantage of having a slightly earlier reception (in Eastern Washington where the sun always shines), is that gorgeous evening glow to light your dance floor.  I couldn’t have hand picked a prettier day.

Hoo-ray!

Seattle wedding and portrait photographer will launch her new, stylish, modern website and blog in three days.Three is the number of days until my new brand/website/blog make their debut. HOOOOO-RAAAAAY!!! Friday morning, my little corner of the world wide web is getting a major make over, and I am SO excited to share it with you! And to help celebrate the new look around here, I’ll be giving away some goodies the next three days on the blog so you’re going to want to pop back in for all the details on how to enter.

In the mean time, I’ve got a sweet little family portrait session to share with you today.  We scored a gorgeous day on the University of Washington campus, and the cherry blossoms were in full swing.  I am pretty sure having two boys this adorable goes against the laws of nature, but it certainly makes for some darling family pictures.  I have been lucky enough to watch these charming little guys grow over the past few years- I can hardly believe this is my 6th session with the lovely P family.  Lucky, lucky me.  :)   Seattle family portraits at UW campus.Mom and dad with their two boys.Seattle family photographer Kristen Honeycutt captures these brothers.family of four sits on a park bench for their portraits by kristen honeycuttOne year old boy smiles for his birthday portraits.Seattle family and child portrait photographer Kristen HoneycuttChild and family photographer kristen honeycuttChild portrait in Seattle

Discovery Park Engagement Session: Jessica + Jeff

So, it’s been a little while since I’ve blogged… eek!

There are long lists of sessions/weddings sitting beside my monitor, all waiting for their turn on the blog.  So I hear you asking, “what’s your excuse for leaving us hanging, Kristen”.  Well, I have a good one.  A really good one.  Actually, a few.  Let me explain.

1. It is definitely wedding booking season.  My 2011 wedding calendar is quickly approaching FULL.  I have had SO many meetings the last few weeks, so I’ve been spending a large amount of time away from my desk and out meeting everyone.  (I know, my job rocks.)  I am OVER THE MOON excited about my 2011 engaged couples.  Seriously- I am in love.  They have some of the sweetest love stories, adorable chemistry, and they are an all-around rad bunch of people.

2.  I am working on some VERY exciting changes for Kristen Honeycutt Photographer.  New products, new branding (more about that coming soon!), new equipment, new work flow, and the list goes ON AND ON.  I am really pushing myself and my business to another level this year and I am dying in anticipation of what’s to come.

3.  This one’s completely selfish- I am soaking up the ‘off season’.  Six months of the year are a blur for me, and when you have a 1 year old, it’s pretty shocking how things change over a summer.  I am loving a little extra time with my two favorite men, and I’m making good use of our play time (more on this coming soon too!).

So let’s kick this off with a peek at one of my new products- Custom Letter Storyboards.

They are 10×20″ and available as a photo standout or gallery wrapped canvas.  Colors/text are customizable, and you can choose your favorite images.  There are so many fun options, including a wedding-date version (so he’ll always remember your anniversary!).

This one features a few of Jessica and Jeff- one of my super rad 2011 wedding couples- which also creates the perfect opportunity to share their engagement session with you!

Jessica and Jeff are all kinds of awesome.  We hit it off right away, and after all the fun we had at their engagement session, I have to fight the urge to call them for happy hour every week.  :)
