Happy New Year!!!

seattle wedding and portrait photographerWhat an amazing year!!!

I cannot believe 2011 has come to an end- I’m going to be dating things ’2011′ for at least 3 months while it all sets in.

I am incredibly thankful for all the blessings that came my way over the last 12 months.  It was a whirlwind year for KHPC.  I shot my 100th wedding this Fall (I cannot believe how quickly that milestone came!), found my pictures on the pages of both issues of Seattle Bride Magazine (and they put out some gorgeous issues this year!), and hit a new record for number of portraits/weddings photographed.  I feel like I’ve finally found exactly who I am and who I want to be as a photographer, and finding my groove within that has been a fantastic feeling.  But above all, I am so genuinely thankful for my clients.  You have been so good to me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you- you’ve encouraged me, you’ve shouted my name to your friends, and most importantly, you’ve shared with me precious milestones to you and yours- and for that, I am so grateful.

We also found out that we’re expecting baby Honeycutt V2.0 this March and the anticipation of adding another little boy to our family has be smiling from ear to ear.  2012 is already on course for plenty of new adventures of its own, and I am ready and waiting!

Despite my absence from the blog recently (I’m far too embarrassed to say exactly how long it’s been since my last blog post!), I have SO many sessions and weddings that I am dying to share with you here!  I will do my best to keep them coming at you fast over the next few months, so pop back often- I’m so excited!  I hope you all had an amazing holiday with the ones you love.  Thank you for keeping up with my little corner of the internet, and I hope to see you in 2012!

Cheers!!

Kirkland Baby Photographer: E’s 6 Month Portraits

I adore this family, and I am thoroughly enjoying doing a Baby’s First Year series for their little cutie.  It’s so much fun to see that little personality start to shine.  We had a cool and kind of windy day at Heritage Park in Kirkland, but little miss E never let her smile down… and I had the most delightful time catching those grins through my lens.

Toot toot. (that’s me tooting my own horn)

After SO many hours creating inspirations boards, talking color palettes/style/fonts, playing with web design, and examining paper, the new website and blog are FINALLY live.  Whew!  Have you peeked at my new WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PORTFOLIO?  What do you think?

I have been so excited for this day.  I finally have pieces that reflect both myself and my business, and boy does that feel good.  And I’d love to share some of my new print pieces with you- aren’t they pretty??  There are lots more to come, and I can’t wait to start packing these up and shipping them out.

Seattle Wedding and Portrait Photogrpaher has a new look on the blog and website.

Mae Mae Paperie designed my logo and some of the other print pieces, and I built my website myself using Showit/SiteHouse.  (LOVE having the ability to customize away, and Showit’s customer service has been so great!!)

And I still need to give away a canvas, now don’t I?!

Old and new… Those people…that eat the food. Yes, them too… Not just the people within the church and steapel… but rather a specific one standing across from me Crying, trust me…I’m not lying.”

Oh, Kevin.  SO excited for your wedding.  :)

Thank you SO much to everyone who entered.  I love hearing from you!  It has been so much fun reading your comments, and I really appreciate all the facebook love.  You make my day!

So here’s to a fresh start and a new milestone.

Hoo-ray!

Seattle wedding and portrait photographer will launch her new, stylish, modern website and blog in three days.Three is the number of days until my new brand/website/blog make their debut. HOOOOO-RAAAAAY!!! Friday morning, my little corner of the world wide web is getting a major make over, and I am SO excited to share it with you! And to help celebrate the new look around here, I’ll be giving away some goodies the next three days on the blog so you’re going to want to pop back in for all the details on how to enter.

In the mean time, I’ve got a sweet little family portrait session to share with you today.  We scored a gorgeous day on the University of Washington campus, and the cherry blossoms were in full swing.  I am pretty sure having two boys this adorable goes against the laws of nature, but it certainly makes for some darling family pictures.  I have been lucky enough to watch these charming little guys grow over the past few years- I can hardly believe this is my 6th session with the lovely P family.  Lucky, lucky me.  :)   Seattle family portraits at UW campus.Mom and dad with their two boys.Seattle family photographer Kristen Honeycutt captures these brothers.family of four sits on a park bench for their portraits by kristen honeycuttOne year old boy smiles for his birthday portraits.Seattle family and child portrait photographer Kristen HoneycuttChild and family photographer kristen honeycuttChild portrait in Seattle
