Seattle Wedding Photographer: A year in review

Wow.  2010 was an amazing year.  I can’t even begin to describe how lucky I feel to be doing something I love.  Weekend after weekend, I went to joyful celebrations (and rockin’ parties!), all in the name of LOVE.

To my 2010 Brides and Grooms-

I am so deeply honored and excited to have witnessed it all.  The speeches, the vows, the laughter, and your crazy aunt on the dance floor.  I can’t believe the weddings this year- oh, how I loved seeing bits and pieces of who you are incorporated into your day.  But most of all, I feel so blessed that you chose me to document those memories for you.  I know you have a large selection when it comes to photographers, and I thank you for trusting me with such an important task.  I don’t know how I am so lucky to work with such rad couples.  Seriously.  THANK YOU.  You rock.

To my 2010 Portrait Clients-

Where do I begin?  You’ve invited me into your homes, let me play with your kids, cuddle your babies, and laugh with your family.  I am giddy with excitement to see how your kiddos have grown with each mile stone.  Some of you are on your 5th, 6th and 7th portrait sessions with me, and I am SO INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for your loyalty over these past few years.  You’ve passed my name to your best friends and family, and there is just no greater compliment than that.  I am SO THANKFUL for your support.

Thank you all for your emails, your blog comments, your FB posts.  I am looking forward to another year of fun!

SO, this post took me FOREVER to put together.  It was agonizing to choose only one image from each wedding, and I was easily derailed- sifting through your images and smiling at the fun you had.  So I’ve decided that if I’m going to spend a million years on one blog post, I had better give away some free stuff!  SO, here’s the deal-

Vote for your favorite image by leaving a comment on this post with the image number.  The image with the most votes has a $300 GIFT CARD going to it’s corresponding Bride and Groom.  Use it towards your wedding album, prints, or a future portrait session.  And I can’t let the newlyweds have all the fun, so one of the voters is going to win a $100 GIFT CARD too!  I’ll use a random number picker to choose the comment winner- so make sure you use a legit email.  Voting ends 1/13 at midnight, Seattle time. One vote per person, please.

And if you haven’t all ready, march on over to the FACEBOOK PAGE and become a fan so you never miss another opportunity to win!  (And because I love to hear from you!)

Casey + Joe {Seattle Wedding Photographer}

Casey and her ‘maids’ got ready at the stylishly urban Alexis Hotel.  How rad is that exposed brick?  And even better- Casey’s kicks.  She called them her anemone shoes.  Love it!

*Bling-Bling*

A family member made these amazing necklaces for the bridesmaids.  And I looooove the clean lines of calla lilies.

Nothing more romantic than a first sight in the middle of Pioneer Square.  There were so many ‘awws and oooohs’ from the crowd.  I thought Joe was going to fall over…lucky man.

Thank you to the man who let us high-jack his bike cart.  Suhhhhweet!!

Loving those hot pink heels, ladies!

Court in the Square was the perfect venue for the city wedding Casey and Joe wanted- and her Black, White, and Pink color palette was oh so perfect.

Lindeman Weddings and Events had every detail covered (No surprise there!), and I couldn’t believe the amazing transformation.  The entire place was decked out with crystals, flowers, and candle light, and when the sun hit the windows the entire place shimmered.

Casey and Joe wrote each other love letters… but they are keeping them in this sweet box until their first anniversary when they will read them.

That might be the most perfect wedding tradition.  Ever.

Annemarie Juhlian officiated an incredibly touching ceremony, that was perfectly tailored to Casey and Joe.  I’m pretty sure there was not a dry eye in the house (myself included), yet she kept it light and joyful all at the same time.

The walk back down the aisle is always one of my favorite moments of the day…. see why?!!!The roof top was amazing… hope you caught the rest of them HERE.

I don’t even need to say how much I loved the tables.  Seriously?!  Amazing.

And the perfect party favor…

You KNOW how much I love a sparkler exit!Congratulations, Joe and Casey.  Thank you so much for the opportunity to witness this special day.  SO happy for you both.

Casey and Joe’s CRAZY CAM.

What’s a CRAZY CAM?  It’s a new twist on a photo booth- a mini portrait studio right off your wedding reception dance floor.  The PERFECT way to capture all your guests, not to mention, IT IS SO MUCH FLIPPIN’ FUN!  It has a way of bringing out the crazy, and it makes for some sweet shots to remember your rockin’ party.  And the best part??  ALL your CRAZY CAM pictures are up for viewing/ordering just THREE days after your wedding.  If any of my 2010/2011 brides want to add a CRAZY CAM to their wedding, just shoot me an email at info@kristenhoneycutt.com.  The first 3 booked get $100 off- just because I am so excited to do more of these.  I was seriously dying laughing going through all the shots from Casey and Joe’s wedding, and it was painfully hard to narrow it down to fit in one blog post…

Enjoy the CRAZY!!

Remember Pamela and Sean?  Happily married, and cute to boot.

The amazing woman behind Lindeman Weddings and Events- Erin knows how to throw a party.

The newest Mr. and Mrs- GIOVANELLI.  Didn’t Casey score on the new last name??!  So rad.

A moment on the rooftop.

Just minutes after a very moving ceremony- my eyes still wet with tears- we dashed up to the rooftop to enjoy this gorgeous view on such a beautiful Seattle day.  I think the best part of my view had nothing to do with the city, and everything to do with two people SO IN LOVE.

More from Casey and Joe’s Seattle wedding coming soon.
