30′s Inspired Engagement Session in Pioneer Square: Kris and Kevin

The first time I met Kris and Kevin, it took me no more than 2 minutes to know we would be a good fit.  Our meeting (if I can call it that), was more like sitting down with old friends- full of excitement, laughter, and a touch of playful banter.  Their chemistry is perfection- I am pretty sure just being in the same room together makes them both giddy.  And when they said they wanted their engagement session to give a nod to that 1930′s style, I was over the moon.  The engagement session is the PERFECT opportunity to think outside of the box, explore what you love, and have fun with your session.  You don’t always need a bunch of props/extras- sometimes a well executed wardrobe and our beautiful city are just enough for the perfect evening with the one you love.

Toot toot. (that’s me tooting my own horn)

After SO many hours creating inspirations boards, talking color palettes/style/fonts, playing with web design, and examining paper, the new website and blog are FINALLY live.  Whew!  Have you peeked at my new WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PORTFOLIO?  What do you think?

I have been so excited for this day.  I finally have pieces that reflect both myself and my business, and boy does that feel good.  And I’d love to share some of my new print pieces with you- aren’t they pretty??  There are lots more to come, and I can’t wait to start packing these up and shipping them out.

Seattle Wedding and Portrait Photogrpaher has a new look on the blog and website.

Mae Mae Paperie designed my logo and some of the other print pieces, and I built my website myself using Showit/SiteHouse.  (LOVE having the ability to customize away, and Showit’s customer service has been so great!!)

And I still need to give away a canvas, now don’t I?!

The 16×20 Canvas goes to….

Old and new… Those people…that eat the food. Yes, them too… Not just the people within the church and steapel… but rather a specific one standing across from me Crying, trust me…I’m not lying.”

Oh, Kevin.  SO excited for your wedding.  :)

Thank you SO much to everyone who entered.  I love hearing from you!  It has been so much fun reading your comments, and I really appreciate all the facebook love.  You make my day!

So here’s to a fresh start and a new milestone.

Hidden Meadows Wedding: Karin + Ryan

TWO DAYS until the new website launches!  Yipee!!  I’m so excited that I think I need to give something away. SO, why not a $100 gift card for Kristen Honeycutt Photo Co.?  Fabulous.  To enter, leave a comment below telling me how you’d use your $100 KHP gift card, go and LIKE Kristen Honeycutt Photographer on Facebook,  and I’ll draw a winner tomorrow.  All comments must be made by 9AM Seattle time Thursday (tomorrow) morning.  Sounds good?  Good!

And here is a lovely winter wedding at Hidden Meadows.  LOVED all the thoughtful details of this one.  How cute are the custom wedding party T-shirts they made for their bridal party??!  And that green, black, and white color palette feels so clean and crisp.

Karin and Ryan, so were SO much fun to work with.  I have the biggest smile on my face looking through these pictures now.  It was such a fun day.  And remember those CRAZY CAM pics?!  Perfection.
