The last few weeks before your baby’s arrival are so special.

I can’t even describe the amount of excitement and anticipation that was pumping through my veins my last trimester. It was so hard to focus on much else. I would just day dream about what he was going to look like, what kind of baby he would be, what kind of father my husband would be, what kind of mother I would be… I couldn’t believe how much I already loved that baby who was throwing elbows at my ribs and kicking my sides. Such a special time, and so brief.I saw Erika, and I could instantly feel her joy. I wanted to plop down on a bench with her and squeal over how exciting it all was, but we were on a mission for pictures. Focus Kristen! We had such a fun session- I was smiling for hours afterward, just giggling over our time together. Isn’t she positively glowing?! Such a beautiful mother already, and I simply can’t wait to see that baby in her arms.

I heart maternity sessions.

Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful/special/amazing times of a woman’s life. Words cannot describe how incredible it feels to have your baby safely inside you, which is why I am always so giddy to do a belly session! I love the excitement in the air, the anticipation, and the glow of the mama-to-be.

Brittney, you are so beautiful.

I cannot wait to share more from her maternity portraits, and I reeeeally cannot wait to meet that cute baby boy. More coming soon.

Seattle Maternity Photographer: Brooke and Sam

I get so giddy every time I do a belly session. There is just so much excitement and anticipation in the air- especially with the first baby. You know something life changing is coming, but there’s no way to be prepared for the reality of how life changing it will be. Brooke and Sam drove all the way from Vancouver for their maternity session, and I am so glad they did. I had such a fun time following these two love birds around, and I CANNOT wait to meet the little man… who, by the way, is making his mama wait right now. Brooke, I hope these teasers ease the waiting game a bit.

Isn’t she adorable?! I really had to resist the urge to hug that baby bump during our session.

Here are a few more from that cute “alley angel”. This little lady will have a new baby brother in less than a month, so we did some maternity shots for her mama as well. What a precious family- such warm and friendly people. I had a blast running after this cutie at Pike Place Market, and I can’t wait to meet the new arrival! Thanks you guys- it was such a pleasure!
