Drift Boat Engagement Session in the Arboretum: Kathy and Leland

We landed a beautiful sunny day for Kathy and Leland’s engagement session in Seattle’s arboretum.  Leland brought his amazing drift boat that HE MADE (yes, seriously!), and I felt so spoiled as he rowed Kathy and I around the lake on this gorgeous afternoon.  Kathy and I kept giggling how we felt like we were in the middle of The Notebook.  The sun, water, boat, and these two cuddled up so sweetly, made for one of my favorite sessions.  So excited to be shooting your wedding, Kathy and Leland!

A bride and her sailor. Ferry terminal engagement session: Shaina & George

I was SO excited when Shaina suggested having George wear his summer whites for their beach side engagement session.  Who doesn’t love a man in a uniform?  And the Mukilteo ferry terminal was the *perfect* spot to tie in the beach, the water, and the gorgeous Shaina with her sailor.  We had the most beautiful evening, and I am kind of in love with this whole set of images.  These two are so sweet together and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this Fall!  Enjoy!

Nautical Beach Maternity Portraits: Sally

When my sweet sister-in-law was expecting her second baby and needed maternity portraits, we decided to make a beach camping trip out of it.  So we packed up our families and headed to her family’s AMAZING beach side cabin on Stretch Island.  The adorable little cabana and rustic beach decor was the perfect setting for a summer maternity session- pacific northwest style.  I’m heading out to photograph her family this evening (that cute baby bump is now my 9 month old nephew!), but I can’t leave without sharing this session first.  One of my favorites.  Enjoy!family maternity session at beach cabincute nautical beach portraits by seattle photographer kristen honeycuttFamily portraits with baby bumpnautical maternity session with Seattle PhotographerBaby bump, big sister, mom and dad in beach side forrestmaternity session at washington state beach good example of what to wear to your maternity sessionocean side cabin and nautical decor for family portraits by seattle photographer kristen honeycuttfamily portraits at beach side cabin in Washingtonexpecting mother with daughter in forrestBig sister hugging her mother's pregnant belly.
